Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

We are delighted to inform you that the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is launching the Fourteenth Round of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (the “Scheme”) for 2023/24 academic year intake. The Scheme established in 2009 aims to attract top international students to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong’s world-class research universities. At present, the fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HK$27,100 (approx. US$3,470) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$13,600 (approx. US$1,740) per year for a period of three years. A total of 300 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2023/24 academic year. Online initial application is accepted from 1 September 2022 (12:00 noon Hong Kong Time (GMT + 8 hours) to 1 December 2022 (12:00 noon Hong Kong Time (GMT + 8 hours).
