Practice Mock Interviews with HR | Japan Career Training Program (Free Participation)

For international students who want to work in Japan, are you feeling unsure about Japanese job interviews?

Many international students have questions such as:

– What do Japanese companies evaluate during interviews?
– How should I explain my motivation and strengths?
– How can I present my research to companies?

To support students facing these challenges, we are launching a practical career training program where participants can prepare for job hunting in Japan through mock interviews with HR professionals from Japanese companies.


■ Benefits of Participation

– Receive direct feedback from HR professionals
– Practice Japanese-style job interviews
– Improve your Entry Sheet (ES) and motivation statement
– Priority access to a Job Fair scheduled in June–July featuring 5–10 major Japanese companies actively recruiting international engineering talent

Mock Interview & Japan Career Training Program

This program helps international students prepare for job hunting in Japan through mock interviews with HR professionals from Japanese companies.

Participation Fee: Free


■ Program Overview

Period: May – July 2026 (6 sessions)

– Once every two weeks
– 60 minutes per session (Online)
– Small-group format (maximum 5 students per team)


■ Program Content

Mock Interview Training

Examples:
– Self-introduction
– Research presentation
– Motivation for applying
– Understanding companies
– Answering follow-up questions

Career Feedback

– Entry Sheet (ES) review
– Interview advice from a company perspective
– Improving motivation statements


■ Eligibility

– Students enrolled in universities in Japan
Mainly engineering students (Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, etc.)
– Japanese level: JLPT N3 or above (N4 applicants may be considered depending on motivation and language ability)
– Currently job hunting
– No job offer yet, or continuing job hunting
– Expected graduation: September 2026 – March 2027


■ Number of Participants

20–30 students


■ Application Deadline

April 30

If the number of applicants exceeds capacity, a simple selection process may be conducted.
Applications may close earlier once the capacity is reached.
