“Poster presentations and research exchanges by SPRING Fellows and Fellowship recipients” took place on October 21st and 27th.

The Division of Graduate Studies held the event, “Poster presentations and research exchanges by SPRING Fellows and Fellowship recipients,” on October 21st and 27th.

This was the first in-person event for doctoral students who have received the two financial support programs (SPRING and Fellowship) provided by the Division of Graduate Studies. The event aimed at enhancing their researchers’ skills by giving them opportunities to present their own research outcomes and to have discussions with other students beyond existing frameworks such as graduate schools and research laboratories.

Following the greetings from the Prof. Masahiko Egami, Director of Division of Graduate Studies, 40 students (mainly in the fields of Quantum science and technology/Materials science/Health, medical sciences and biostudies) made poster presentations on October 21st. On October 27th, 41 students (mainly in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences/Informatics and AI/Environment, Energy and Interdisciplinary Studies/Bottom-up of the Fellowship) did the same. Please refer to the link below for the name of presenters and the titles of the presentations.

In addition to the recipients of the support programs, more than 50 students/faculty members for each day participated in the event to listen to the presentations and the active discussions took place interdisciplinary between students and faculty members. Also, the Incorporated Association C-ENGINE (Collaborative Education for Next-Generation INnovators & Exploration of knowledge intersections) gave a special talk on their research internship program, as well as eight private corporations (members of C-ENGINE) run their booths to interact with students on their research and their career opportunities.
