“Seminar on the Semiconductor Industry for Kyoto U students” took place on December 19, 2022.
About 40 undergraduate and graduate students participated in the " Seminar on the Semiconductor Industry for Kyoto U students " co-organized by the Division of Graduate Studies and Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).
Mr. Torayuki Tsukada, an alumnus of Kyoto University and currently affiliated with the Management Strategy Division of ROHM Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on the current state of the semiconductor industry and his own career choices, followed by a Q&A. During the Q&A session, students asked a wide variety of questions and had lively discussions. Participating students commented, ” It was very meaningful to know the semiconductor industry from an integrated and bird’s-eye view.” and ” I came to think that the semiconductor industry was also attractive as a career option for me.” Division of Graduate Studies plans to hold industry research seminars in various fields.
