Applications Now Open: KU-STAR Program for India 2026 (deadline: 27 January 2026)

The KU-STAR (Kyoto University Short-Term Academic Research) Program for India 2026 is now accepting applications!

About the Program: The KU-STAR Program for India 2026 is designed to provide research opportunities for undergraduate and master’s students from India who have a strong desire to pursue a doctoral program at Kyoto University.

Program Highlights: The 2026 program offers a unique opportunity to gain intensive, hands-on research experience at Kyoto University from 19 May to 10 July 2026. Participants will:

-Work under the guidance of leading faculty members in one of 101 participating laboratories.
-Immerse themselves in a world-class academic and cultural environment.
-Build valuable skills and professional networks for their future doctoral studies at Kyoto University.

Financial Support & Conditions

Accommodation: Kyoto University will provide accommodation for all participants during the program.

Important Note: Please be aware that no daily stipend or scholarship (e.g., 5,000 JPY/day) will be provided for the 2026 program. Participants must cover their own airfare, visa fees, insurance, and daily living expenses.
