【Invitation】KU-STAR Program for Australia 2026: Research Presentation Event

Join us to witness the research achievements of 10 outstanding students from Australia’s top universities! This is a great opportunity for international research exchange. We look forward to your participation.

The Division of Graduate Studies at Kyoto University hosts the “Kyoto University Short-Term Academic Research (KU-STAR) Program,” a research internship designed for talented students from India and Australia who aspire to pursue doctoral studies at Kyoto University in the future.

We are currently hosting the “KU-STAR Program for Australia 2026.” Since January 8th, 10 selected students from the University of Melbourne, Monash University, the University of Adelaide, and RMIT University have been engaged in intensive research across various laboratories at Kyoto University for approximately 1.5 months.

We are pleased to announce the Research Presentation Event, where these students will present their findings in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Informatics, Environment, and Disaster Prevention. Come and engage in direct discussions with these energetic and brilliant students!

Date & Time: Thursday, February 19, 2026 | 13:00 – 17:35 (Doors open at 12:45)

Venue: International Conference Hall I, 2nd Floor, Clock Tower Centennial Hall (Map 3)

Language: English

Target Audience: All students (undergraduate/graduate) and faculty/staff (Feel free to drop in)

■ Program

13:00 – 14:00 Research Pitch Presentations A series of fast-paced, passionate presentations highlighting the core of their research conducted at Kyoto University.

14:10 – 15:35 Poster Presentations [Snacks and drinks will be served] A deeper look into individual projects. Enjoy casual discussions and networking with the KU-STAR students over refreshments.

15:40 – 16:35 Closing Ceremony Program review and presentation of certificates.

16:35 – 17:35 Social Mixer A final opportunity to network and socialize with the participants.
