― The Role of Technology and Innovation in the Development of More
Sustainable Energy Systems



Aramco and Kyoto University, in collaboration with the STS forum, will
host an event titled “The Role of Technology and Innovation in the
Development of More Sustainable Energy Systems” on Friday, October 3,
2025, at Kyoto University.

The event will feature Mr. Ahmad O. Al-Khowaiter, Executive Vice
President, Technology & Innovation, Aramco, and include a panel
discussion with researchers, startup entrepreneurs, and investment
experts from Kyoto University. Together, they will explore from the
perspectives of industry, academia, and investment how technology and
innovation can contribute to the development of more sustainable energy
systems and their implementation in society. Young researchers and
students are especially encouraged to participate in this event.

Following the event, a networking session with light refreshments will
be provided. We warmly encourage participants to take this opportunity
to connect with one another and expand their networks.
