The Division of Graduate Studies at Kyoto University is pleased to announce the successful applicants for the 2026 Kyoto University Short-Term Academic Research (KU-STAR) Program for Australia.

The program, which accepted applications from August 4 to September 22, 2025, received a total of 48 applications. Following a rigorous selection process, 11 applicants were successfully chosen to participate.

The selected students will engage in intensive research activities at various laboratories within Kyoto University from January 8th to February 20th, 2026. Beyond honing their research skills in their chosen labs, the students will deepen their understanding of Japan through program activities, including Japanese language classes, and cultural activities or visit.
